The project involves a comprehensive scope of engagement aimed at revitalizing a dormant plant and assessing its viability from both a technological and commercial standpoint. This includes conducting a Techno Commercial Feasibility Study to evaluate the feasibility of reactivating operations, followed by the preparation of a Bankable Detailed Project Report (DPR) to outline the necessary steps for implementation. Additionally, the project entails conducting plant trials in two phases with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to validate equipment functionality and identify any operational gaps. Subsequently, a start-up plan will be developed based on the identified gaps, paving the way for the running and management of the complete business.
Against the backdrop of the plant being idle for a number of years, stakeholders sought a thorough assessment of both the equipment and business health. This initiative aims to provide stakeholders with actionable insights into the potential revival of operations, addressing concerns regarding equipment functionality, market viability, and operational feasibility. By conducting rigorous assessments and formulating detailed plans, the project endeavors to not only breathe new life into the dormant plant but also to establish a foundation for its sustainable operation and success in the long term.
The project has yielded significant achievements, with the Techno Commercial Feasibility Study completed within the defined timeframe and the report successfully submitted. Comprehensive machinery and plant trials, including cold and hot trials with materials, have been conducted, ensuring the operational readiness of the facility. Furthermore, the recruitment and establishment of the entire team have been successfully executed. As a result of these efforts, the plant is now operating commercially under Akaar management, marking a successful transition from dormancy to active and sustainable operation.
